Local winery, Thirsty Owl Winery, has announced they have a limited number of used wine barrels available for purchase. Perfect for those with a knack for crafting or a desire for unique home décor, these barrels are sturdy and full of potential.
“We have a few extra barrels on our hands and thought it would be a great opportunity for folks in the community to put them to good use,” said a spokesperson for Thirsty Owl.
It’s important to note that these barrels are not suitable for storing or aging liquids. However, with a little creativity, they can be transformed into stunning furniture pieces, planters, or even unique wall hangings.
Barrels are priced at $125 each, plus tax. To snag one (or three!), interested buyers can call the Thirsty Owl tasting room at 866-869-5805 to schedule a pick-up time. Be sure to mention the barrels when calling, as payment needs to be completed in the tasting room before heading down to the barn for pick-up.
For weekday pick-up, Thirsty Owl prefers a timeframe between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm to coincide with their barn work schedule. Weekend pick-up is possible on a case-by-case basis, but be prepared to load the barrels yourself on those days.
