Bath Kiwanis Hosts Annual 5K Run/Walk Event in Support of Community Projects
Bath, NY – The Bath Kiwanis, a longstanding service organization with over 65 years of community service, is gearing up for its annual 5K event, “Gateway to the Finger Lakes 5K Run/ Walk and 1K Fun Run”. Scheduled for May 11, 2024, this event promises a scenic route through the beautiful Finger Lakes Region, suitable for participants of all fitness levels.
The race, starting at the corner of Wilson and East Morris Street, Bath, NY, US 14810, offers a mainly flat course with a gentle rise in the middle, ensuring an enjoyable experience for runners and walkers alike.
Registration for the main event is $30 and is open to individuals aged 19 to 80. The proceeds from this race will be channeled back into the Bath area through various youth projects, senior citizen events, and community needs, as per the Kiwanis’ commitment to serving the community.
In addition to the main 5K, there will be two other races: “The Canadice: 1K Kids Fun Run” for ages 5 to 14 at $10, and “The Keuka: Student 5K Run/Walk” for ages 15 to 19 at $25. Both races will start at 10:00 AM and 9:00 AM respectively.
