Yates County, NY – April 10, 2024: Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in the Town of Middlesex early Monday morning in response to an ongoing order of protection violation. The incident led to the arrest of Caden P. Paterson, 22, of Middlesex, NY, on a charge of Criminal Contempt 2nd.
The Sheriff’s Department received the call at approximately 8:23 am and promptly dispatched Deputies C. Hansen and S. Walker to the scene. Upon arrival, the deputies confirmed that Mr. Paterson was in violation of the order of protection by being present at the residence.
Following the assessment, Paterson was taken into custody and transported to the Yates County Public Safety Building. He is currently awaiting CAP Court arraignment.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office has not released further details regarding the case at this time.
