Steuben County Sheriff's Office arrests Luke C. McCaig and Nathaniel P. Scott for alleged intoxicated driving incidents in Addison and Bradford.

Two Driving While Intoxicated Arrests Memorial Day Weekend

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on May 28, 2024, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Luke C. McCaig, age 39, of Niles Cross Road, Addison, New York, following an investigation of a two vehicle crash. It is alleged that Mr. McCaig operated a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition on a public roadway and crashed into a parked car on South Street, Addison. Mr. McCaig was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Fail to Keep Right and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. Mr. McCaig was released on traffic summons to appear in the Addison Town Court at a later date.

On May 25, 2024, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nathaniel P. Scott, age 48, of County Route 18, Savona, New York, following a traffic stop of a UTV on the roadway. It is alleged that Mr. Scott operated a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition on Old State Road, Bradford. Mr. Scott was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Operating with Greater than .08% Blood Alcohol Content, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Uninspected Motor Vehicle and Not Wearing a Seatbelt. Mr. McCaig was released on traffic summons to appear in the Bradford Town Court at a later date.
