Steuben County Democratic Chair Shawn Hogan gives local reaction

From the NY Democratic Party,

NEW YORK – Yesterday, Donald Trump was found guilty of 34 felony charges. The Republican Party is nominating a convicted criminal as its presidential candidate, and New York House Republicans are doubling down on their support. While New York Republicans claim to be for law and order, they were quick to come to the defense of their boss, convicted felon Donald Trump.

New York’s most vulnerable House Republicans have all endorsed Donald Trump: Rep. Nick LaLotaRep. Anthony D’EspositoRep. Mike LawlerRep. Marc Molinaro, and Rep. Brandon Williams. Within minutes of the court’s ruling, the members rushed to Trump’s defense, making it clear that they would continue to pledge their allegiance to a convicted felon.

Longtime Steuben County Democratic Chairman and former City of Hornell Mayor Shawn Hogan had this to say about Donald Trump formally endorsing NY-23 Congressman Nick Langworthy:

“It is nice to see the tough on crime Congressman Langworthy is happy to receive the endorsement of a 34 time convicted felony.

Trump was convicted by a jury of his peers, but like elections they don’t win obviously it was rigged.”
