Hammondsport’s Depot Park will host a spectacular event next weekend as Wine County Classic Boats presents its 41st Annual Classic Boat Show. Scheduled for Saturday, July 20, and Sunday, July 21, the event promises a display of vintage boats, including some remarkable Canadian entries.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday, Depot Park’s docks will showcase a variety of classic boats, emphasizing the elegance and craftsmanship of these maritime treasures. Attendees are encouraged to seize the opportunity to admire these vessels, as they will be removed promptly after the show concludes.
Beyond the docked boats, the event will feature land displays and vendors, adding to the festive atmosphere. Saturday afternoon will include a lively boat parade at 3 p.m., while Sunday morning will showcase an old-fashioned water skiing exhibition starting at 10 a.m.
Participants in the boat show will have their vessels judged on Saturday morning, with winners announced during a special dinner at the Finer Lakes Boating Museum at 7 p.m. This annual gathering not only celebrates nautical history but also invites the community to indulge in a weekend filled with maritime marvels and lakeside enjoyment.
