After an extensive eight-month investigation into a series of commercial burglaries across four counties, law enforcement authorities have arrested two men linked to the crimes.
An eight-month joint investigation has led to the arrest of two men involved in a spree of commercial burglaries across Yates, Schuyler, Steuben, and Allegany counties. The coordinated effort involved the Sheriff’s Departments from these counties, the State Police, and the Penn Yan Police Department, who collaborated to connect a series of criminal activities to James Lisefski, 44, of Prattsburgh, and Dale Sutton, 50, of Campbell.
The suspects face numerous charges following an in-depth investigation and Grand Jury proceedings. The charges against Lisefski and Sutton include:
- Multiple counts of burglary
- Grand larceny
- Criminal mischief
- Tampering with evidence
- Auto theft
- Larceny
- Property damage
- Drug offenses
The Steuben, Schuyler, and Yates County District Attorney Offices played a crucial role in the investigation, contributing to the indictments of the accused. Following their arraignment, Sutton was remanded to jail with bail conditions, while Lisefski remains in custody due to an outstanding Parole Violation Warrant.
