Nature lovers and gardening enthusiasts are invited to a special event at the Geneva Farmers Market on Saturday, September 28th. The City of Geneva Green Committee, in collaboration with the Town of Geneva Sustainability Committee and the Geneva High School Green Club, is hosting a Native Plant Sale.
From 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, attendees can explore a variety of native plants from three local nurseries: Amanda’s Garden, Butterfly Effect, and White Oak Nursery. These nurseries will offer a wide selection of perennials, shrubs, and trees that are perfect for creating sustainable and environmentally friendly gardens.
In addition to the plant sale, visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about native plants and gardening practices. Experts from the participating nurseries will be available to provide guidance on planning native plant gardens and answer questions.
The event will also feature information about the Lake Friendly Living campaign, which promotes sustainable living practices near bodies of water. Attendees can learn about ways to reduce their environmental impact and contribute to the health of Geneva’s local ecosystems.
