Governor Kathy Hochul announced a heightened law enforcement presence on New York roads this Halloween season as state and local police intensify efforts to curb impaired driving.
The enhanced patrols, running through October 31, aim to safeguard Halloween festivities and promote responsible choices.
“Making responsible decisions is crucial to ensure a safe and enjoyable Halloween for all New Yorkers,” said Governor Hochul. “If you plan to celebrate, please also plan a sober ride home. I am grateful to the New York State Police and our local law enforcement partners for their dedication to keeping our communities, families, and celebrations safe.”
These patrols underscore the importance of public safety during the holiday, encouraging New Yorkers to prioritize sober driving to protect themselves and others.
