The Village of Montour Falls is making strides towards a greener future with the addition of three new electric vehicles (EVs) to its fleet. These vehicles, acquired through grant funding secured by the village’s Sustainability Committee, will be utilized by the Public Safety, Public Works, and Water Departments.
Mayor James Ryan expressed pride in the village’s commitment to clean energy and climate-smart initiatives. “Despite the challenges posed by bureaucratic hurdles, we’ve managed to streamline processes and achieve significant progress. By electrifying our municipal fleet, we’re not only reducing our carbon footprint but also saving taxpayer dollars on rising energy costs,” he said.
