Canandaigua, NY – A group of nine dedicated individuals recently completed a rigorous two-week emergency communications course at the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Academy. The graduates, hailing from Ontario, Livingston, Wayne, and Yates counties, will now serve as vital links between the public and emergency responders.
The intensive training covered a wide range of topics, including handling emergency calls, radio transmissions, dispatching critical incidents, and legal issues.
“Our dispatchers are the first point of contact for those in need,” said Ontario County Sheriff David Cirencione. “They play a crucial role in ensuring that help arrives promptly and efficiently.”
The Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to the new dispatchers and wished them continued success in their careers.
