Trailblazing Leadership Recognized: Keuka College President Amy Storey Joins Elite Ranks of ATHENA Award Finalists

Keuka College President Amy Storey has been named one of 12 finalists for the 2025 ATHENA International Award, an honor recognizing exceptional women leaders who have significantly contributed to their professions, community service, and the advancement of women in the Greater Rochester area. The award is presented annually by the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce.

The finalists represent a dynamic mix of educators, executives, medical professionals, and government officials, all of whom have demonstrated exemplary leadership and dedication to empowering others.

“It’s a privilege to be recognized alongside such accomplished and inspiring women,” said President Storey. “This honor reflects not just my role, but the transformative impact Keuka College has on the region through its students, alumni, and community collaborations.”

Storey began her tenure as Interim President of Keuka College on July 1, 2018, and was officially named President on May 13, 2019, becoming the institution’s 20th president and only the third woman to hold the position.

The ATHENA Awards, established in 1987, celebrate women leaders and organizations that champion the growth and success of women. The program features three award categories: the ATHENA International Award, the ATHENA International Young Professional Award, and the ATHENA International Organizational Award.

Bob Duffy, President and CEO of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, commended this year’s finalists for their achievements. “Each finalist exemplifies the ATHENA leadership principles,” he said. “Their dedication and advocacy continue to shape a stronger, more inclusive Greater Rochester region.”

The 2025 ATHENA Awards ceremony will take place on February 13 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center, where the winners will be announced.
