A 70-year-old man was hospitalized Saturday night after his SUV collided head-on with a State Department of Transportation (DOT) snowplow on State Route 31.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported that David Brandt, the SUV driver, veered out of his lane and into the path of the oncoming snowplow. The crash left Brandt with injuries that required transport to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester via ambulance.
The snowplow driver was unharmed in the incident.
Emergency responders, including Wayne County Ambulance, Newark Ambulance, and the Marbletown Fire Department, provided assistance at the scene. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
