Is it Russia? Is it “psych-ops?” Is it mass hysteria ?

It started in November, when a handful of unusually large drones were sighted in US airspace that are the size of a car and sport blinking lights and or exhibit a bright white glow. As alarm and the mystery grew, so did the numbers of sightings and as of the first two weeks in December there have been increasing reports of what amounts to hundreds of large drones. They are being observed mostly at night hovering over residences, major water reservoirs, a military research and munitions facility, airports and critical infrastructure. A Coast Guard officer reported observing one group of 50 drones approaching the eastern US from out to sea. The flight patterns are mostly over populated areas of New Jersey, New York and Maryland, with sightings also occurring on the west coast and in Great Britain. Homeowners, police officers, mayors, congressmen and governors have expressed extreme concern to the FBI, Homeland Security, the Pentagon, and the White House. They are getting no definitive answers as to what they are, where they come from or what they are doing. Police attempts to approach them with their police drones have failed as the mystery drones flew away at greater speed than they could muster. Helicopters, sent to investigate, were confronted by the objects going completely dark, cloaking in darkness and deterring further approach by hazard of collision.
An FBI spokesperson has reported that these are not US military drones, do not appear to be from another country, and the FBI and Homeland Security are concluding that there is no threat posed by these reported drones. Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh told reporters “There is no Iranian ship off the coast of the US, and there is no so-called mother ship launching drones toward the United States.” Homeland Security Secretary Alexandro Mayorkas told ABC news “We haven’t seen anything unusual.” Representative Jeff Van Drew (R N-J) said he believes federal officials are lying. “We aren’t being told the truth.” “They are treating the American public like we’re stupid.”
Swarms of the drones have been sighted in other states. NY Governor Kathy Hochul had to temporarily shut down Stewart International and another small airport in Orange County due to the hazard to air traffic. Proposals to shoot down one of the crafts is not allowed under federal regulation and police, itching to take action, cite the obvious dangers of such a large machine loaded with fuel or possibly large flammable batteries crashing to earth. NY Governor Hochul has announced that a “state of the art drone detection system is being deployed.” There is some discussion about drone neutralization countermeasures that the military possesses but how they neutralize, bring them down, or the use of such is not as of yet on the table.
Drone military experts say the drones closely resemble Russian Orlan-10 unmanned reconnaissance craft. A United Kingdom defense insider said the drones are of Russian origin and their appearance over the US and UK is a part of a Putin response to the US having approved the Ukraine use of American made long range missiles to strike deep into Russian territory. Researcher, Mark Christopher, concludes “the mass hysteria that this has created, especially in the US, has achieved Putin’s aims of causing chaos and panic. The fact that the US military have stated publically that they don’t know what these drones are, suggests that they are too embarrassed to admit the truth.”
Another scenario is unfolding where Congress is being pressured to pass the Counter UAS Authority Security Safety and Reauthorization Act which will give states “the authority and resources required to respond to circumstances like we face today.” The Act will renew and reform current legal authorities and agency funding, that have been in place since 2018, and are set to expire in October. The provisions are also slated for inclusion and funding under the 2025 National Defense Authorization (funding). Could this be a Problem-Reaction-Solution style psy-op manipulation and doesn’t this whole federal ‘we know nothing’ and subsequent failure to find out, fail the smell test? Reforming and refunding the Act sounds necessary, in the wake of being swarmed by unidentified drones, but shouldn’t we take a long hard look under the hood of extending and funding this expiring Act, instead of performing a ‘knee jerk’ approval during the panic of this mysterious and unfolding ‘game of drones.’
