A Penn Yan resident has been charged with drug-related offenses stemming from a domestic incident that occurred in the village last October.
During the investigation of the incident, authorities discovered an off-white solid substance suspected to be methamphetamine, along with several glass smoking devices containing burnt residue. The items were submitted to a crime laboratory, where testing confirmed the presence of methamphetamine.
As a result, 37-year-old Chasity Schorpp has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. She has been ordered to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a future date to address the charges.
