A Bluff Point woman was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital after a serious single-vehicle accident on Friday morning in the town of Benton, Yates County.
Kathleen McCabe was traveling northbound on State Route 14A when she lost control of her vehicle. The car veered off the east shoulder, struck shrubs, became airborne, rolled over, and ultimately collided with a tree.
McCabe sustained facial injuries and was promptly airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.
Emergency responders from the Penn Yan Ambulance, Benton Fire Department, and the Yates County Sheriff’s Office were on the scene to assist.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the incident.
