Corning Incorporated has unveiled Corning® Gorilla® Glass Ceramic, a groundbreaking transparent and strengthenable glass-ceramic material designed to enhance the durability of mobile devices. This innovative addition to Corning’s esteemed Gorilla Glass lineup offers significantly improved drop performance on rough surfaces compared to traditional aluminosilicate glasses.
In rigorous laboratory tests, Gorilla Glass Ceramic withstood 10 consecutive drops from a height of one meter onto surfaces simulating asphalt, whereas competing aluminosilicate glass typically failed after the first drop.
