Bath Village Police Make Drug Bust at Budget Inn

Bath Police assisted NYS Parole in a hotel drug bust resulting in three felony arrests.

On 05/16/2025 at approximately 1:30 PM, members of the Village of Bath Police Department responded to the Budget Inn to assist NYS Parole at their request.

Shortly thereafter, Parole officers advised Bath Police Department members that they had located a large quantity of narcotics in the parolee’s hotel room and three occupants from the room were taken into custody. Members of the Bath Police Department subsequently obtained and executed a search warrant on the hotel room.

A total of approximately 2.5 ounces of methamphetamine, approximately 5.6 grams of cocaine, scales and a large amount of drug packaging materials were seized.

Justin J. Snyder, age 36, of Bath, was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, a Class A-II Felony, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony. Snyder is a three time convicted felon and is under the supervision of NYS Parole.

Megan R. Tobias, age 32, of Bath, was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony.

Bryan J. Burleson, age 33, of Bath, was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, a Class A-II Felony.

All were arraigned in Steuben County CAP Court. Snyder and Burleson were remanded to Steuben County Jail without bail and Tobias was released.
