Racalto’s Restaurant celebrates one year serving the community

Dear Hornell and our extended Racalto’s family,

One year ago, we unlocked the doors to Racalto’s with excitement, nerves, and a simple dream: to create something special for this community we love. We didn’t just want to open a restaurant — we wanted to build a place where people felt welcomed, seen, and cared for. A place where food brings people together, laughter fills the air, and where every guest becomes part of our story.

As we mark one year of Racalto’s, we are overwhelmed by the love and support we’ve received. This anniversary isn’t just a milestone for our restaurant — it’s a celebration of you, because without you, there would be no Racalto’s.

Over the past twelve months, we’ve grown, stumbled, learned, stumbled more, and adjusted. We’ve listened carefully to your feedback — the praise, the suggestions, and yes, even the hard truths. We are better because you cared enough to help us improve. That is what makes this a true community restaurant.

As we move into our second year, we are committing ourselves to two powerful promises:

✨ CONSISTENCY — You deserve a dining experience that’s reliable, every single time. Whether it’s your favorite dish or the warm welcome you get at the door, we want you to know you can count on us.

✨ CUSTOMER SERVICE — You are more than just a ticket or a table number; you are part of our Racalto’s family. We will keep working to ensure you feel valued and appreciated every time you’re here.

To help us deliver on these promises, we’ve brought in a stellar management team — Sarah Drew, Matt Amphlett, Joe Howard, and Steve Babbitt — who are pouring their talent and heart into making Racalto’s the very best it can be. Together, we are committed to raising the bar in everything we do, from the kitchen to the front of the house.

We want you to know: we are far from perfect, and we never will be. But we are passionate, we are determined, and we care deeply about this community. Improvement isn’t just a goal for us — it’s a core part of who we are. We will keep showing up, every day, ready to be better.

To all of you who have supported us — whether by dining with us, recommending us to friends, or offering kind words along the way — thank you. You have helped shape Racalto’s into what it is today, and we are profoundly grateful.

If you ever want to share your thoughts, your concerns, or your experience dining with us, please reach out. Joe’s personal email is jracalto@gmail.com and his cell is 202-321-1935 — we truly want to hear from you.

From the bottom of our hearts: thank you for an unforgettable first year. We are honored to be part of this community and we cannot wait to see what year two holds. Here’s to more memories, more meals, and more moments shared together.

With love, gratitude, and passion,

Joe & Jay Huang-Racalto
