From New York State Police / June 4, 2025
On June 3, 2025, at approximately 10:47 a.m., State Police were called to I-86 westbound in the village of Savona for a report of a one-vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer. A preliminary investigation determined that a tractor trailer, driven by a 76 year old male from Belleville, NJ, was traveling on I-86 westbound in the village of Savona when his trailer began to fishtail. During the investigation, it was determined that he lost control of the trailer causing it to roll over and strike an embankment. The tractor trailer driver did not have any injuries bur was evaluated by Bath Volunteer Ambulance at the scene.
