LETTER IN SUPPORT OF GOVERNOR KATHY HOCHUL’S REELECTION
We, the undersigned New York State Democratic County Chairs, and the State Democratic Chair, acting in our individual capacities, wish to make clear our complete and unequivocal support for the re-election of Governor Kathy Hochul. In these consequential times, we felt it incumbent upon us as party leaders to leave no uncertainty as to where our support lies in the 2026 gubernatorial race. While our full committees will act in due course as the 2026 election nears, we stand firmly behind Governor Hochul who has delivered for New Yorkers and is best positioned to lead our state into the future.
Governor Hochul has been relentless in the fight against the Trump Administration’s disastrous agenda. Whether it is suing the Trump Administration over tariffs, saving wind farms on Long Island, fighting for congestion pricing in the City or preserving thousands of jobs throughout the state, our Governor has succeeded in defending New Yorkers.

Governor Hochul has brought manufacturing jobs into our state in record numbers, crime has plummeted under her leadership, our streets and subways are safer, and she has delivered projects to rebuild our infrastructure throughout the state. Her record of delivering for our working-class New Yorkers is unmatched. Free school lunches for EVERY child in New York, tax rebates to help make living in our state more affordable, protecting our children and enhancing learning by banning cell phones in the classrooms and delivering more school aid than ever before, are just some of the examples that to demonstrate that Governor Hochul has actually been a champion for all New Yorkers.
And, no Democratic Governor has ever in our state’s long history done more to build the Democratic Party than Kathy Hochul. The Coordinated Campaign of 2024 brought us record victories and brought the House of Representatives closer to the goal of a Democratic majority than anyone would have expected. Her countless hours raising money for the Party, her commitment to down-ballot races and her stalwart support for building up our county committees has earned her our gratitude and strong support.
Kathy Hochul’s vision for our state, commitment to the values and principles of our Party, and her proven record of significant accomplishments and successes made this decision an easy one.
