A Bath man is facing multiple charges following a disturbing incident earlier this month in the Town of Bath, according to the New York State Police.
Authorities say Loren R. Hill, 48, was arrested on Wednesday, June 18, after an investigation revealed that he unlawfully entered a private residence and sexually assaulted a woman. Troopers allege Hill forced his way into a room within the home, where the assault occurred. The victim was known to Hill, and troopers confirmed he had previously been told not to be on the property.
Hill is charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary in the Second Degree, Sexually Motivated (Class C felony)
- Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree (Class A misdemeanor)
- Forcible Touching (Class A misdemeanor)
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Class A misdemeanor)
- Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree (Class A misdemeanor)
Investigators said the room’s door was damaged during the incident. Following his arrest, Hill was processed at the state police barracks in Bath and transported to the Steuben County Jail. An order of protection has been issued, barring Hill from any contact with the victim.
The investigation is ongoing.
