Three full days of fun, food, and family activities are underway as the county fair continues with themed celebrations and action-packed entertainment. From July 10 through July 12, fairgoers can enjoy agricultural showcases, live music, thrilling rides, and contests galore—highlighting community heroes with special admissions on Law Enforcement Day and Armed Forces Day.
Thursday, July 10 — Law Enforcement Day
Officers and personnel with valid ID badges receive free admission from 1–10 PM, in recognition of their service. The day kicks off early with 4-H contests, including the Rooster Crowing Contest at 9 AM and the Mini Horse Show at 10 AM in the Showring.
Starting at 1 PM, the 4-H Exhibit Hall and Dairy Bar open, offering hands-on displays and classic treats. Families can explore the Antique Tractor Pavilion and Playland Amusements rides from 4 PM, while Rosaire’s Royal Racers perform at 5, 7, and 9 PM.
Evening highlights include a Farm Tractor Pull at 5 PM (Grandstands), a 6 PM Animal Science Quiz Bowl, and live music by Doc Possum from 8–11 PM in the Entertainment Barn.
Friday, July 11 — Annual Kids’ Day
Children ages 1–16 enjoy free admission from 1–4 PM and can enter a prize drawing in the Entertainment Barn (must be present at 4 PM to win). The day features a 4-H & Open Dairy Show at 10 AM, followed by a series of youth eating contests in the John Andersen Building:
- Ice Cream Eating at 12 PM
- Watermelon Eating at 2 PM
- Pie Eating at 3 PM
The 4-H Dairy Bar and Exhibit Hall run from 1–10 PM, with Playland Amusements and Rosaire’s Royal Racers running throughout the day (race shows at 1:30, 4:30, 7, and 9:30 PM). At 6 PM, the Outlaw Pulling Series roars into the Grandstands with diesel, semi, and hot farm tractor competitions. Ethan Wooley closes out the night with live music starting at 8 PM.
Saturday, July 12 — Armed Forces Day
Service members can enjoy free admission from 1–10 PM with valid military ID. The day begins with the 4-H & Open Livestock Show at 10 AM and includes a Cornhole Tournament at 1 PM (Entertainment Barn) and Rosaire’s Royal Racers at four time slots.
Special presentations include 4-H Mannequin Modeling and Public Speaking (2–4 PM) and Cornell Cooperative Extension Day (2–4 PM) in the Exhibit Hall. Contests continue in the John Andersen Building with:
- Watermelon Eating Contest at 2 PM
- Ice Cream Eating Contest at 4 PM
At 7 PM, the Total Destruction Demolition Derby & Figure 8 Race takes over the Grandstands, promising big crowds and loud crashes. The Unparallel Band wraps up the fair night with a high-energy performance from 8–11 PM.
