A Bradford man faces multiple gun-related charges following two police responses to a Corning residence in the span of four days.
On July 24, Corning Police responded to a report of shots fired at a home on Griffith Street. Officers say a sawed-off shotgun was recovered from the home, but the suspect, 30-year-old Andrew Machuga, had fled before police arrived.
Four days later, on July 28, police were again called to the same home after receiving reports that Machuga had returned with another firearm. He was located at the residence and arrested.
Machuga is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, and Reckless Endangerment. He is being held at the Steuben County Jail without bail. Police say additional charges are possible as the investigation continues.
Machuga has two prior felony convictions, which prohibit him from possessing firearms under New York State law.
