The New York State Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing on August 18 to discuss plans to replace the State Route 364 bridge over the West River in Middlesex, with construction expected to begin in 2028.
The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) has scheduled a public hearing to gather community input on a proposed bridge replacement in the Town of Middlesex.
The meeting will be held on Monday, August 18, at 7 p.m. in the Middlesex Town Hall, located at 1216 NY-245. Ahead of the hearing, NYSDOT will also host an informal open-house style session beginning at 6 p.m. to provide project details and answer questions. That session will not include a formal presentation.
The project calls for the replacement of the bridge carrying State Route 364 over the West River, between Lincoln Avenue and Church Street. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2028. During the hearing, NYSDOT officials will present details on proposed right-of-way changes, including possible property acquisitions under the state’s Eminent Domain Procedure Law.
