Assault, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration, Harassment and Disorderly Conduct Arrest
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on August 15, 2025, Deputies and Officers of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Blair Devine, age 29, of Colonial Lawns, Bath, New York, following a report of a disorderly person in the Steuben County Department of Social Services, Steuben County Office Building, Bath. It is alleged Ms. Devine engaged in fighting and disruptive behavior in the lobby of DSS. It is further alleged that Ms. Devine intentionally struck and kicked two of the responding officers, causing injury to both. Ms. Devine is charged with Assault in the Second Degree, a class D Felony, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, Harassment in the Second Degree and Disorderly Conduct. Ms. Devine was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
The Deputy and Officer injured in this incident were treated and released at a local medical facility.
