Keuka Spring Announces New Wine

Keuka Spring Vineyard / August 19, 2025

Today is National Pinot Noir Day, and we’re celebrating with the public release of the 2023 Goose Watch Pinot Noir. A fresh arrival from our Estate Series, we couldn’t be more excited to bring this wine to your table.

Grown in cool-climate conditions and crafted with care, this vintage is bursting with bright red fruit, smooth texture, and a vibrant Finger Lakes finish. Whether you’re planning a dinner or simply savoring a quiet glass, this Pinot Noir is ready to impress.

Goose Watch Vineyard sits on sunlit, west-facing hills above Cayuga Lake, where well-drained soils and a lake-moderated climate help Pinot Noir fully ripen. The result is vibrant acidity and layered aromatics.

Hand-harvested fruit is gently destemmed and fermented in small, open-top batches, with manual punchdowns for color and structure. Aged 17 months in neutral oak, the wine reflects the site with purity and finesse.

Smooth and expressive, this is a Pinot that captures the nuance of cool-climate winemaking.

Tasting Notes
This Pinot Noir displays a pale ruby to garnet hue, true to its cool-climate origins. Aromas lead with red cherry, raspberry, and cranberry, followed by subtle notes of dried rose petals, tea leaf, forest floor, and a touch of spice from oak aging. On the palate, the wine is elegant and medium-bodied, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and a core of fresh red fruit. The finish is clean and persistent, revealing hints of earth and savory undertones.

Food Pairing
This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roasted poultry, grilled salmon, mushroom dishes, herb-crusted pork tenderloin, and a range of charcuterie and soft-ripened cheeses.
