Linda K. Clancy – 77 – of Hornell died Monday morning (August 25, 2025) at St. James Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Hornell on April 25, 1948, she was the daughter of Richard & Blanche (DeGraw) Dininny.
Linda grew up in Hornell and was a graduate of Hornell High School (class of 1966). For several years she was a “Stay-At-Home-Mom” raising her family. Having a deep love of the outdoors, Linda enjoyed doing yard work and working in her huge “Stone Garden” tending to her flowers, plants and garden ornaments. She loved rooting for the Carolina Panthers (NFL) and became a fan primarily because she simply liked the color of their uniforms! Linda enjoyed spending time on her computer playing games and “surfing the net.” She also cherished the times having lunch with her best friend, Jan Cornish and times spent with her “canine companion”, Misty.
Linda was married on September 6, 1966 to Richard “Dick” Clancy who died January 25, 1978. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Mickey Dininny and Larry Dininny; her niece, Kristen Dininny; along with several in-laws, Jack Emo, Patricia Thorn and Beverly Blumenfeld.

At Linda’s request there will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at date & time to be announced.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.
