Penny Lynn Kogler-Noragong, 62, passed away on Tuesday (September 2, 2025) at Noyes Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Noragong was born in Ogdensburg on March 27, 1963 to Lawrence and Pearl (Thomas) LaRue. Penny received her Registered Nurse license from Bryant & Stratton College in Henrietta. On November 10, 1990, Penny married David A. Kogler, who preceded her in death on July 18, 2010. On August 6, 2023 she married Michael W. Noragong who survives.
Penny worked at Rochester General Hospital from 1985-1989.
Along with her husband, Mike, and her father, Larry, Penny is survived by two sons, Lawrence Francis Keating of Wellsville and John Charles Keating of Andover; two sisters, Theresa Wilkinson of Hammond and Diana Shepardson of Texas; five grandchildren, Lawrence Frances (Gina) Keating, Jr., Dylan Keating, Shelby Foote, Maddox Anthony Keating, and Harper Keating; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her mother, Pearl, Penny was preceded in death by a brother, Ivan LaRue.
Penny was an outdoors person, where she was active by walking and observing wildlife. She also delighted in sitting on the porch shooting the breeze and watching the antics of the chipmunks. She also enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles, cooking, and just talking about the “good old days.”
Penny was all about the people in her life. She was always willing to do what she could to help her family and friends. Favorite times included playing with her grandchildren. It was Penny’s greatest desire to be there for her family.
