BURDETT, N.Y. – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Friday afternoon after crashing on State Route 227 in Schuyler County.
According to the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the scene near Potomac Road around 3:30 p.m. Investigators said the rider lost control while navigating a curve, was thrown from the motorcycle, and sustained injuries requiring emergency transport.
The motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was airlifted by LifeNet to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania. Burdett Fire & Rescue and Centralus Health Ambulance provided assistance at the crash site.
The Sheriff’s Office has not released further details on the rider’s condition, and the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
