ADDISON, N.Y. – A Corning resident has been formally indicted in connection with a bank robbery that took place in Addison last month.
According to the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office, 27-year-old Dominick W. Bova was indicted on September 11 by a county grand jury on 14 separate charges. The indictment includes:
- Two counts of first-degree robbery (Class B felony)
- Two counts of second-degree robbery (Class C felony)
- One count of third-degree grand larceny (Class D felony)
- One count of second-degree coercion (Class D felony)
- One count of third-degree witness intimidation (Class D felony)
- Three counts of tampering with physical evidence (Class E felony)
- One count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (Class D felony)
- Three counts of second-degree menacing (Class A misdemeanor)
The charges stem from an incident on August 22, when authorities say Bova entered the Community Bank in Addison disguised in a blonde wig and hoodie. He allegedly brandished a pistol, demanded cash, and escaped out the back door before police arrived.
At the time, investigators had no confirmed suspect, sparking a two-week manhunt. Detectives followed numerous leads and tips, ultimately leading to Bova’s arrest on September 5 at a residence in Corning.
Bova remains charged in connection to the robbery while legal proceedings move forward in Steuben County Court.
