CORNING, N.Y. – The Rockwell Museum is inviting the community to join in a vibrant cultural celebration this fall with its annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) event on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The family-friendly festival will take place at the KIDS ROCKWELL Art Lab and throughout the museum galleries, offering a full day of activities inspired by the rich traditions of the Mexican holiday. Día de los Muertos honors loved ones who have passed away through colorful art, music, dance, and food.
Guests will have the chance to engage with regional Mexican folk artists, create hands-on projects, and experience interactive cultural activities. Highlights of the day include:
- Sugar skull project (advance registration recommended)
- Festive food tastings
- Ofrenda building and presentation
- Paper flower crafts
- Memory box project in partnership with CareFirst
- Selfie station for capturing the celebration
- Special discount in the Museum Store
