Arcadia, NY – A 24-year-old man was killed late Saturday night following a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) crash in the town of Arcadia, according to New York State Police.
Troopers say the crash happened around 11:05 p.m. on October 4 near the intersection of Mount Pleasant Road and Lembke Road. Investigators determined the man was driving an unregistered side-by-side UTV north on Lembke Road when he attempted to make a right-hand turn onto Mount Pleasant Road at an unsafe speed.
The vehicle reportedly overturned after the driver lost control and overcorrected during the turn. Authorities said the operator was partially ejected from the UTV and sustained fatal head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Wayne County Coroner responded to the location, and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office assisted State Police at the scene.
Officials say the investigation into the crash remains active.
