Hornell girls win over Livonia and Penn Yan

Senior night for volleyball, soccer wins on the road

The Lady Raiders hosted Livonia for Senior Night and handily won in three sets.

Hornell 3  Livonia 0

Set scores: 25-19, 25-13 and 25-16

Hornell stats:

> Jordyn Dyring 13 kills

> Davvyn Thompson 9 kills

> Trinity Ormsby 5 kills

> Mia Nasca 21 digs

> Lyla Dyring 15 digs, 29 assists

Hornell is now 8-3 and 6–0 in LCAA D1.

Lady Raider leave Penn Yan with a 3-0 shutout

On Friday evening, the Hornell girls soccer team traveled to Penn Yan. They would leave with a 3-0 shutout victory over the Number 1 seed in Class B. Parker Graham opened the scoring converting a first half penalty kick. The Raiders would take the 1 goal lead into the break. Just ten minutes into the second half Riley Harwood found Brynna Wilkinson who struck a ball first time from 20 yards out for a two goal advantage. Graham would finish the scoring with just over ten minutes to play on an assist from Delainey Thompson after a quick, clever re-start by the visitors. Adison Connors and Allisa Haley combined in goal to earn the shutout. The Lady Raiders return to action Wednesday night for a Senior Night showdown with LeRoy.  Photo by JC’s Photography
