The Finger Lakes has been named Wine Enthusiast’s 2025 American Wine Region of the Year for its rich history, cool-climate excellence, innovation, collaborative community, and world-class wines. We are very excited that the region has been recognized with this honor and believe it is much deserved!
With the support of New York state laws and regulations, combined with the synergistic efforts of growers and winemakers, we can produce a range of wines accessible to all wine lovers, regardless of their preferences.
Chris King, our Vineyard Manager, explains that “the Finger Lakes can be a challenging place to grow wine, with significant seasonal and weather variation vintage to vintage, but we are rewarded with fruit that is uniquely expressive and finessed.”
Our Head Winemaker, Wes Andrew, agrees, calling the region “consistently inconsistent,” but pointing out that vintage variation provides exciting opportunities for experimentation. Unbeholden to strict tradition, young winemakers throughout the region employ a variety of techniques, drawing from both ancient practices and cutting-edge technology to make the most of the expansive range of varietals grown in the region.
We hope that you can visit us soon to experience the beauty and wonder—and amazing wines—of the region for yourself!
