The annual Yates County Law Enforcement Officers Union Council 82, Local 1869 — working with the Yates County Sheriff’s Office — is reminding residents there is only one more day to donate to this year’s Cops, Kids & Toys Campaign.
The program collects new, unopened toys for Yates County children in families facing financial hardship, with all gifts staying within the county. Donated toys are wrapped by volunteers, and law-enforcement officers personally deliver them to families’ homes before Christmas.
Each donation is matched by participating union members — a practice that doubles the impact of community generosity.
Drop-off locations remain open through Wednesday, December 10, 2025, and include: Friendly Dodge, Community Bank, Eaves Family Dental, the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, the County Building, and the Community Center.
Local residents are urged to take part today — even a single toy can help brighten a child’s holiday and make a meaningful difference in their community.
