From Finger Lakes Land Trust / December 16, 2025
Dear Friends of the Finger Lakes, our beautiful region is rich in fresh water – eleven sparkling lakes, numerous winding rivers, and countless creeks to explore!
These waters flow through lands that are increasingly threatened by sprawling development and runoff from a variety of sources.
In recent years, each of the Finger Lakes has suffered outbreaks of toxic algae that make swimming unsafe. Drinking water sources for over one million residents have been left vulnerable. And our last undeveloped shoreline is jeopardized.
Today we invite you to support the Finger Lakes Land Trust, the conservation nonprofit behind Go Finger Lakes. We work every day to conserve our most treasured lands and waters.
To protect water, you must protect the land that surrounds it! If you don’t protect the land, you can’t protect the water!
Thousands of members and hundreds of volunteers have helped the Finger Lakes Land Trust protect nearly 35,000 acres and 6 miles of lakeshore!
We maintain some 45 nature preserves with over 55 miles of hiking trails that are free and open to the public year-round.
Help us save pristine shoreline, scenic woodlands, and priceless open spaces! By making a gift, you can support “the conservation behind the recreation…”
