Steuben County leaders are preparing for a full slate of county business when several important meetings take place on Monday, January 5.
The Public Safety Committee is expected to review a potential agreement with Linstar, a security camera company, regarding the installation of outdoor surveillance cameras at the Steuben County Public Safety Building. During the same meeting, committee members will also vote on whether to continue funding for the county’s Emergency Medical Services crews, a decision that could impact emergency response operations across the county.
Later in the day, the Steuben County Legislature will convene for its annual reorganizational meeting. As part of that session, lawmakers will appoint new committee members to replace legislators who are leaving office. Incoming legislators set to receive assignments include Republicans Dan Warriner, Mike Volino, and Justin Eberlin, along with Democrat Deborah Shannon.
