Predeceased by his grandparents. George and Virginia Knapp.
Survived by his Loving partner, Sydnee Joy Mayer. Sons, Lee and Steven Mellor Jr. Sisters, Cheri (Daniel) Tamburro, Heather (Jay) Abrams. Parents, Judith M. Mellor, Norman P Mellor. Many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Steve passed away leaving behind a life built with skill, curiosity and heart. He was a true craftsman taking pride in things that lasted, having a natural ability seeing something that could and building it the right way. He was the owner of Steven P. Mellor Remodeling operating the company for 22 years. He will be remembered for his work ethic, creativity in the things he built with the memories tied to them.
Steve was a great friend, always there for his friends no matter what. He loved life, traveling and 80’s music. He just didn’t talk about plans, he made them happen. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family and those who had the opportunity to know him.
The family will receive friends 4-7pm Wednesday January 21, 2026 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd. (corner of Culver Rd.)
Interment will be held at 12 noon Thursday January 22, 2026 in Forest Hills Cemetery, 45 Cemetery Hill Rd. Belmont, NY.
