Penn Yan – The Penn Yan Central School District is now accepting nominations for three open seats on its Board of Education ahead of the district’s annual vote and election scheduled for May 19, 2026.
Two of the board openings are for three-year terms, and one is for a two-year term. Residents of the Penn Yan School District interested in running for a position can pick up petition forms Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the District Office, 1 School Drive. Completed petitions must be submitted to District Clerk Katie Champlin by April 20.
The Board of Education plays a key role in setting district policies, overseeing the school budget and working with district administration to guide the future of public education in the community.
For more information, residents are encouraged to contact the District Clerk’s office at 315-536-3371.
The election will coincide with the vote on the district’s annual budget, giving voters the opportunity to weigh in on both spending priorities and school leadership this spring.
