Joyce E. DODGE, 81, of Wellsville, NY, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 5, 2026 in Wellsville Manor Care Center. Born January 16, 1945, in Wellsville, she was the daughter of Harry and Helen Burdick Kemp.
She was married Robert L. “Bob” Dodge, who predeceased her on July 6, 2008.
A 1964 graduate of Wellsville High School, she studied at BOCES to become a CNA. Joyce was employed by Highland Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for many years until retirement. She was a member of Shongo Country Chapel.
Surviving are: her loving companion, Bud Hackett; four sisters, Shirley Franklin, Gloria (Frank) Crawford, Marilyn (Glen) Armstrong, and Brenda Kemp, all of Wellsville; two brothers, Harold Kemp of Wellsville and Michael Kemp of Buffalo; many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Bob.
Friends may call at Olney-Foust & Embser Funeral Homes & Cremation, 34 West State St., Wellsville on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM with a Memorial Service following at 3:00 PM. Rev. Ann Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville. Memorials may be made to SPCA serving Allegany County.
