A Bath man has been arrested after police say he assaulted a woman during an incident earlier this year.
According to the Village of Bath Police Department, officers were called to a residence on West Steuben Street at about 12:29 a.m. on February 28 for a reported assault. During the investigation, police determined that a man had struck a woman in the head, causing a laceration above her left eyebrow.
Authorities later identified the suspect as Jackie Fisher, 52, who is listed as homeless in Bath. Police say the alleged attack left the victim with the head injury that required attention.
Following the investigation, Fisher was charged with third-degree assault, a Class A misdemeanor under New York law.
Police say Fisher was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant connected to the incident. Additional details about the victim’s condition or Fisher’s court appearance were not immediately released.
