From Coach Ridge, Hornell Youth Football
My name is Darnell Ridgeway, also known locally as Coach Ridge. I’m a youth football coach and Vice President of the Hornell Youth Football League, and I’m reaching out to share a positive community event that may be of interest to your readers.
On Sunday, May 3rd, we will be hosting Coach Ridge’s Elite Combine at the Hornell High School Football Field. This youth football development event is designed to bring together approximately 250 boys and girls ages 6–16 from Hornell and surrounding Southern Tier communities for a day focused on skill development, mentorship, and healthy activity.
Participants will rotate through organized football drill stations run by local coaches and high school varsity players. In addition, Buffalo Bills Tight End Keleki Latu will be making a special guest appearance, spending time meeting the young athletes, offering encouragement, and taking photos and autographs.

Our goal is to create an exciting experience for local youth while bringing families from multiple communities together in Hornell. We hope to grow this combine into an annual event that continues to highlight the Southern Tier and provide opportunities for young athletes.
