In Seneca Falls, a one-year-old child was hospitalized after ingesting THC, the psychoactive compound found in cannabis. Emergency responders were called when the child became unresponsive, and the incident prompted an investigation into how the substance was accessed.
Authorities determined that two individuals responsible for the child’s care failed to provide adequate supervision, allowing the child to come into contact with the THC. Both were charged with endangering the welfare of a child and taken into custody, with the case to be handled in local court.
