Michael Ferrara has been cleared to return to work while the criminal case against him continues to move through the legal system, according to court proceedings this week.

Ferrara, who faces charges connected to an alleged domestic incident earlier this year, appeared in Seneca County Court where a judge modified conditions related to his employment status. The decision allows him to resume his duties as Seneca Falls town supervisor while prosecutors continue preparing the case for presentation to a grand jury.

According to court records, the charges stem from allegations involving a dispute that led to Ferrara’s arrest earlier this year. Prosecutors have indicated they intend to seek grand jury review as the investigation proceeds. Defense attorneys have maintained Ferrara’s innocence and argued that he should be permitted to continue performing his elected responsibilities while the case remains unresolved

The case has drawn attention across Seneca County because Ferrara remains an elected official actively serving in local government. Town officials have continued normal operations during the court proceedings, though the legal matter has generated discussion among residents regarding leadership and public accountability.

No timetable has been announced for grand jury action or potential future court appearances. As with all criminal proceedings, the charges are accusations and Ferrara is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
