Penn Yan couple Stacy and Chris Wyant were recognized with Keuka College’s 2025 Donald and Corinne Stork Award for Community Service, celebrating their decades of volunteerism, leadership, and quiet acts of generosity that have strengthened the local community.
Stacy and Chris Wyant, long known for their dedication to Penn Yan and its people, were celebrated this week with one of Keuka College’s highest honors for community service.
The couple received the 2025 Donald and Corinne Stork Award during a luncheon held Tuesday, August 12, in the College’s Geiser Dining Commons. The award, established in 1991, recognizes individuals whose work exemplifies the Storks’ legacy of service and commitment to the Finger Lakes region.
From organizing food drives and supporting international exchange students through the Penn Yan Rotary Club, to awarding scholarships for young women and lending a hand to neighbors in need, the Wyants have quietly made a lasting difference across multiple causes. College President Amy Storey praised the couple as role models for students, while Finger Lakes Economic Development Center CEO Steve Griffin described their service as “the kind that comes not with fanfare, but with a shovel.”
In their remarks, the Wyants expressed gratitude to their family, friends, and community. “We are so thankful to live here,” Stacy said, reflecting on the example set by Donald and Corinne Stork. The recognition also included a proclamation from the New York State Legislature, underscoring the couple’s enduring impact on Penn Yan and beyond.
