Two Finger Lakes destinations are gaining national attention in a newly released travel book that ranks some of America’s most memorable places to visit.
In Go See America: 118 of the USA’s Greatest Hits (According to a Guy Who Visited Them All), author and filmmaker Matt Tory names Watkins Glen State Park and the City of Ithaca among seven New York sites featured. Other Empire State highlights include Niagara Falls, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, the Hudson River Valley, and the Adirondacks.
Tory, who has traveled to all 50 states and explored every national park in the continental U.S., called New York “the most beautiful state on the East Coast.” His guide combines humor, first-hand experiences, and photography to bring the destinations to life.
Watkins Glen earned recognition for its iconic gorges and cascading waterfalls, while Ithaca was praised for its scenic landscapes and wealth of outdoor recreation. The book is now available for purchase on Amazon.
