Richard “Ernie” Clark, 54, Georgia

Passed away Wednesday Oct. 22nd at Fulton County Hospital.

Ernie was born in Wellsville NY in June, 1971.

He was the son of Ernest “Blair” Clark and Cheryl Bastian.

On August 11th 2006 in Key West Fl. Surrounded by family and friends He married his best friend Mary (Alvord) Clark.

Ernie grew up in Andover NY, then spent the last 24yrs living in Georgia.

He spent a successful 30yr career in the Management of Heavy Highway Construction. He made so many strong relationships thru his work. Many have called to say “He was one of the best men I have ever worked with in my career “

Everyone who knew him knew that he loved his Harley, The Dallas Cowboys, both Dirt Track and Nascar racing. He attended many trips and events for these with his Family and Friends. He had so many life long friends that he loved and cared for. He will miss his almost nightly phone calls with Jay. But most of all, Ernie loved his family. He was a part of countless trips, every event and holidays with his family. He always wanted everything to be perfect for all of us. It would be hard to find another person as obsessed with their grandchildren as he was, they meant the world to each other.

In addition to his wife, Ernie is survived by his Daughters,  Briana (Bryson)Calcote of Genesee PA. Ashlei (Kevin)Scott of Chapin SC ; Granchildren, Jayden and Lilah “Reese” Scott, and a grandchild to be.; His mother Cheryl Bastian; Sister Michelle Clark; Brother Paul Bastian; as well as several Nieces. He was predeceased by his father “Blair” , his black lab “Buster”, along with several Aunts and Uncles.

Ernie always wanted to take care of everyone and would do anything to help someone in need. He was the Best man I ever knew!

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Wellsville.
