Staff Report / April 20, 2026
A free, self-guided art event is returning to the Southern Tier later this month, giving the public an opportunity to explore local creativity and meet artists in their own workspaces.
The “Arts in Bloom 2026 – Open Studio and Gallery Tour” is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, April 26, from noon to 4 p.m.
Organizers say the weekend event will feature multiple artists and galleries across the region, allowing visitors to travel from location to location at their own pace. The tour is designed to give attendees a behind-the-scenes look at how artwork is created, while also offering the chance to speak directly with participating artists.
The event is free and open to the public, with no tickets required. Community members are encouraged to attend, whether they are longtime supporters of the arts or simply curious about the local creative scene.
In addition to showcasing a variety of artistic styles and mediums, the tour aims to highlight the depth of talent across the Southern Tier and foster stronger connections between artists and the communities they serve.
Organizers note that the open studio format provides a unique experience compared to traditional gallery visits, offering insight into the artistic process and inspiration behind each piece.
The event will take place over one weekend at the end of April, inviting residents and visitors alike to explore the region’s vibrant arts community.
