Law enforcement agencies in the Finger Lakes region are investigating a series of vehicle break-ins and thefts reported over the weekend in both Yates and Schuyler counties.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, the incidents occurred during the overnight hours between Saturday and Sunday and are part of a broader, multi-county investigation involving the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities say multiple vehicles were targeted, with items reported stolen.
Officials are asking residents who may have surveillance footage, information about suspicious activity, or reports of missing property to contact the Yates County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators have not released details about potential suspects at this time.
